Suburb Spotlight – BELLAMBI

The Northern Suburbs ‘Hidden Coastal Gem’

Bright and bustling, Bellambi is a beachside town 75km south of Sydney.
Home to approximately 4,000 residents, the suburb boasts beautiful natural landmarks including lagoons, lakes and beaches.

Bellambi Beach lies just north of Bellambi Point and stretches over 1 km.

A lively surf beach, the area is patrolled by Wollongong City Council, Monday to Saturday, whilst volunteers from the Bellambi Surf Club patrol the beach on Sundays.

The surf club also operates a café (Olive’s Cafe) so you can grab a fresh juice or coffee after your morning surf. A children’s playground, toilet facilities and a boat ramp are also located nearby and there are numerous inlets and reserves to explore along the adjacent bike track.

Popular with residents who travel to work, the suburb is well serviced by train and bus links with frequent services to both Sydney and Wollongong. The town is only minutes from Memorial Drive making it a very accessible suburb for commuters.

Bellambi offers both public and private schooling options including Bellambi Public School and the prestigious Holy Spirit College.

There are many churches to accommodate parishioners of a variety of faiths including Corrimal Seventh-day Adventist Church, New Life Missions Christian Church and St Alban’s Anglican Church.

The township provides residents with a range of conveniences including Bellambi Medical Centre, drive-through pharmacy, hairdressers and cafes. GF Eats is a trendy café with fabulous coffee – a favourite amongst the locals.

And for those undertaking a home renovation, a brand-new Bunnings Warehouse has recently opened and will meet all your DIY needs.
